Colin Foote Employment Law was formed in 2017 after Colin decided to set up on his own having accumulated a significant amount of experience and knowledge advising clients in this area of the law across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Colin graduated from Cardiff University in 2002 before completing his Legal Practice Course and undertaking a training contract with national firm, Thompsons.

Thereafter, as a qualified solicitor he set up an employment department at Hughes Paddison Solicitors in Cheltenham before moving to Gregg Latchams, a more corporate firm in Bristol.

In 2013 Colin returned home to Northern Ireland where he worked as a Senior Solicitor at Tier ranked 1 Firm Arthur Cox before moving to Sullivans Law. In 2017 Colin set up Colin Foote Employment Law and since then he has continued to build up a strong commercial following to include clients across a variety of industries.

Colin Foote Employment Law advises both businesses and employees, a lot of whom are pre-existing clients on all matters that might arise at work. As an expert in his own field he additionally receives a lot of work referred into him from firms of solicitors who do not profess to be experts in the niche area of employment law. Colin particularly enjoys the cut and thrust of dealing with Employment Tribunal litigation where he has completed nearly all of his own advocacy for many years. He can additionally provide practical advice on policies and procedures, commercial issues surrounding TUPE transfers, confidentiality provisions, restricted practices, redundancy and business reorganisations.
